How to Store your Crystals

Storing your crystals comes down to a personal preference. However, it’s important to store them in a way that’s right for you and best for them – we don’t want them disappearing (even though this can happen – they eventually find their way home!)
If you only have one or two crystals, a storage solution may not be necessary right now. You might prefer to keep them on you or perhaps by your bedside. Once you reach three crystals, you now have what’s considered a collection. At this point, you might want to consider storing them and labelling them. It’s quite easy to forget which one is which and therefore what crystal holds certain properties. 

Shelf or windowsill

You can display them on a shelf or windowsill (check that your crystals are happy in sunlight first). I bought my shelf from Copper Moon Boutique. I LOVE their entire inventory – my basket was bursting before I finally decided on my Flower of Life Triple Mountain beauty! However, as your collection grows, there are some other options to storing your crystals.

Gemstone jars

These are ideal if you’re looking to reuse and repurpose what you already have. Use a transparent glass jar with a lid and place a foam insert at the bottom. This will protect your crystals from dirt but still lets the sunshine in! You can also label the underneath or lid to remind you of the crystal’s name and properties.  

Velvet pouches

Velvet pouches are great for one or two crystals or if you have special stones, wands, eggs, or crystal balls. It keeps them safe and secure. Drawstring jewellery bags are also great for transporting your crystals if you always like to have them with you. Most crystal shops will either sell these or package your crystals in them for purchase. 

Printer trays

Printer trays are large wooden trays with small sections – perfect for storing your collection. You could cut out pieces of paper and label each section to keep track of your crystals. You may also wish to line the bottom of your trays with fabric to protect the crystals from external energies.
Tip: If you have multiple of the same crystal, store them together so they will vibrate at the same frequency. 
It’s important to store your crystals carefully to protect their healing powers and abilities. By storing them appropriately, you’re not only protecting them from dust and dirt, but also avoiding scratches and chipping.
